Hello again ,
We are now on the home stretch before a brand new President is sworn in. My son said to me "Why has it taken this long for there to be a woman Vice President?" My answer? "EXACTLY."
Last week I shared a tutorial on transposition and this week I am sharing a high tech low tech tool that I actually invented. It's called The Transposenator 3000TM and it is an amazing tool to make transposition easy and fun. Please share with your students and try it yourself. I'm also excited to share with you the 3rd video in my year long project called "Random Songs I Like". My goal is to post a different
video every week of me singing/playing some of my favorite songs from every imaginable style and genre. I have recently upgraded my microphones and recording software, so you can watch the videos evolve each week. I'm learning!!
This week's song is one that I used to play every night when I was playing cruise ships. I spent 19 months at sea doing singalong piano bar. I actually paid for a chunk of my Master's degree doing this - floating around the Caribbean taking requests. (Yes, I played Pianoman about a zillion times!)
Walking in Memphis is super fun to play and is a song that I give to my more advanced students to work on. It's tricky!
If you enjoy these videos, make sure to give them a "thumbs up", leave a comment and subscribe to my YouTube channel. The more action I get, the more people will see the videos!
Thanks for your continued support! Brenda Earle Stokes
